• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering

Chemical engineering involves production of valuable products from crude and wasted feedstocks through cost-effective, optimized and energy-efficient processes. Chemical engineers require basic and applicable knowledge about conservation laws of mass and energy, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, chemical reaction kinetics, process design and process control. These concepts combined with a wide range of complementary elective courses such as environmental engineering, nanotechnology, biochemical engineering, polymer engineering etc are explained in the educational program for undergraduate students in Department of Chemical EngineeringThe designed program provides students with a unique opportunity to apply basic professional principles to solve hard and cost consuming problems in industry. The required knowledge, hard and soft skills and techniques that students learn in this department will prepare them for jobs in the future. Our graduates are well-prepared for a rewarding career in a range of different industries and professional fields. The outcomes of our undergraduates are:

  • An ability to identify, formulate and develop new tools for engineering problems and solve them with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global.
  • An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to detail conclude.
  • An ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and flexibly in team working.
  • An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make fair judgments.
  • An ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.

  • Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering

Demand for energy continues to grow, and oil and gas play a dominant role in this business. The Reservoir Engineering program within the Department of Petroleum Engineering prepares students to meet the challenges that face this industry. The undergraduate program aims to prepare students to meet challenges and to assure graduates can apply the engineering principles to uncover more efficient and cost-effective solutions. It provides the regional and global oil and gas industries with highly educated engineers who can utilize their in-depth knowledge of engineering to better develop business opportunities. It emphasizes the importance of ethical conduct, health, safety and environmental issues. The proposed BSc program has the following objectives:

  • Assure that the graduates can apply the engineering principles to uncover more efficient, environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions to the development of oil and natural gas resources.
  • Provide the regional and global oil and gas industries with highly educated engineers who can utilize their in-depth knowledge of reservoir engineering to better develop business opportunities.
  • Prepare the graduates to go on for further education in Master programs.
  • Emphasize the importance of ethical conduct, health, safety and environmental issues.

Upon completion of the BSc degree in Reservoir Engineering, graduates will be able to:

  • Evaluate reservoirs using reservoir description and modeling techniques
  • Offer optimum operating conditions for primary and improved recovery schemes using the reservoir rock and fluids properties as well as the expected reservoir behavior
  • Manage the process of oil and gas production and give practical ideas to protect the production facilities
  • Assess the enhanced oil recovery projects, both technically and economically
  • Evaluate the impact of various EOR processes on the environment and recommend practical strategies to protect it.
