Admission in Shiraz University is based on academic history and achievement in two main areas including grades in bachelor-master degree and completion of required subjects.

 

General Requirements:

• Having a valid foreign passport (not holding Iranian citizenship)
• Having received agreement consent from the Student Affairs Organization dismissing any legal prohibition regarding the applicant in order for them to continue with their studies at a certain university (once the admission form is complete, this agreement letter can be obtained via www.saorg.ir)
• Confirmation of the applicant's general qualification by Student Affairs Organization (obtained and received from the competent authorities and in accordance with laws and regulations of Islamic Republic of Iran)

 

Specific Requirements:

• Last educational degree (Certificate of Program Completion) earned in the applicant's home country along with complete academic transcript for getting admission for higher level education.
• The English and Farsi translation of all required documents (Certificate of Program Completion and academic transcript) have to be confirmed and certified by Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
• After being confirmed by the host faculty's educational vice principle, and, then later, by the related group in that specific faculty, the applicant's acceptance will be issued.  Being confirmed by the group, being interviewed, and selecting a supervisor professor is required for all Ph.D. level applicants. 

 

Required English/Persian Language Proficiency:

• It is mandated to undergo a 6-month Farsi learning program at the Farsi Learning Center from the outset of studies and prior to starting educational programs at any certain level. For those applicants who seek English as a medium of instructor, passing the English placement interview and receiving the group's confirmation is expected.
