Dr. Dariush Mowla Scholarship

 

Professor Dariush Mowla was born on April 9, 1952, in Shiraz. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Shiraz University in 1977. He then continued his studies in France, earning his Master's and Doctorate degrees from the Institut Polytechnique de Toulouse. After returning from France, he joined the Chemical Engineering Department at Shiraz University in 1983

In 2019, Professor Dariush Mowla was honored as the Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering by the Academy of Sciences of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Among his other accolades, he has served as a visiting professor at the University of Oklahoma, the University of Queensland in Australia, and the University of Toronto in Canada. His achievements also include chairing the Chemical Engineering Department, serving as the Vice Dean for Research at the Faculty of Chemical, Petroleum, and Gas Engineering, directing the Environmental Research Center in the Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Industries, and pioneering the Environmental Engineering discipline at the master's level

Dr. Abdolhossein Jahanmiri Student Researcher Award

 

Professor Abdolhossein Jahanmiri was born on April 9, 1951, in Shiraz. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology in 1985. Following this, he received a scholarship from Amirkabir University to continue his studies in the United Kingdom, where he obtained his Master's degree in 1987 and his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in 1990

Upon returning to Iran in 1992, Dr. Jahanmiri joined the Chemical Engineering Department at Shiraz University. His illustrious career included serving as the Vice Dean for Education and Graduate Studies at Shiraz University, Director of Graduate Studies, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Vice Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Engineering, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, and membership in the Fars Science and Technology Park Council

Dr. Jahanmiri's dedication to the advancement of scientific knowledge and education in Iran continued until his passing on August 27, 2013, at the age of 63
