Chemical Engineering Program
Chemical Engineering Program
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
Chemical engineering involves production of valuable products from crude and wasted feedstocks through cost-effective, optimized and energy-efficient processes. Chemical engineers require basic and applicable knowledge about conservation laws of mass and energy, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, chemical reaction kinetics, process design and process control. These concepts combined with a wide range of complementary elective courses such as environmental engineering, nanotechnology, biochemical engineering, polymer engineering etc are explained in the educational program for undergraduate students in Department of Chemical Engineering. The designed program provides students with a unique opportunity to apply basic professional principles to solve hard and cost consuming problems in industry. The required knowledge, hard and soft skills and techniques that students learn in this department will prepare them for jobs in the future. Our graduates are well-prepared for a rewarding career in a range of different industries and professional fields. The outcomes of our undergraduates are:
- An ability to identify, formulate and develop new tools for engineering problems and solve them with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global.
- An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to detail conclude.
- An ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and flexibly in team working.
- An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make fair judgments.
- An ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
- Master of Science in Chemical Engineering
Department of Chemical Engineering offers master of science program in different research area including process design, process simulation and control, environmental engineering, gas processing and transportation, polymer, energy, process separation, kinetics and catalyst. The Master of Science program in Department of Chemical Engineering is based on the fundamental principles of chemical engineering, as well as an intensive research experience. The BS degree in chemical engineering is required for admission to the MS program. The outcomes of or graduates are:
- An ability to identify, formulate and develop new tools for engineering and research problems and solve them with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global.
- An ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and flexibly in team working.
- Ability to clearly and persuasively communicate the motivation for a research project.
- An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to detail conclude.
- An ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
- Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering
The Doctor of Philosophy program is designed to focus students on original, productive, and creative research topics in chemical engineering and to cultivate students to play prominent roles in scientific and research centers in the future. The Doctor of Philosophy program in the Department of Chemical Engineering is based on the fundamental principles of chemical engineering, as well as extensive and deep research experience. The BS and MS degrees in chemical engineering is required for admission to the PhD program.
