The student team from the Petroleum Engineering Department of the Faculty of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering has achieved remarkable success in the international PetroCap competitions. The "Bartonian" team, comprised of talented students from the faculty, won "third place" in the International PetroCap competitions and earned their qualification for the final stage of these competitions, which will be held in December 2025. The members of the Bartonian student team are: * Mr. Yashar Gharghani * Mr. Mohammad Jahanbanian * Mr. Amir Hossein Khorramabadi * Mr. Hooman Behrouzi * Mr. Mojtaba Javdani * Ms. Malika Gholampour This accomplished team achieved this success under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Behnam Shahsavani and Dr. Meysam Mohammadzadeh Shirazi, faculty members of the Petroleum Engineering Department. The PetroCap competitions are prestigious international events in the field of petroleum, held annually in two stages and across 9 different leagues, including the Middle East, South Asia, South America, and Europe. In these competitions, participants utilize specialized knowledge and present innovative strategies to develop a simulated oil field. The winning team is the one that achieves the highest efficiency from the designed reservoir. Winning this valuable international award demonstrates the brilliant talent of the students and the effectiveness of the esteemed faculty members' efforts. The Faculty of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering congratulates all members of the Bartonian team, their respected supervisors, and the academic community of Shiraz University on this achievement and wishes this motivated team even greater success in the final stage of the competitions.
تیم دانشجویی مهندسی نفت دانشکده مهندسی شیمی، نفت و گاز در رقابتهای بینالمللی پتروکاپ درخشیدند. تیم "بارتونین" متشکل از دانشجویان مستعد این دانشکده، موفق به کسب **مقام سوم** در مسابقات بینالمللی پتروکاپ شدند و جواز حضور در مرحله نهایی این رقابتها را که در دسامبر 2025 برگزار خواهد شد، کسب کردند.

مسابقات پتروکاپ از رقابتهای معتبر و بینالمللی در حوزه نفت است که هر ساله در دو مرحله و در ۹ لیگ مختلف از جمله خاورمیانه، آسیای جنوبی، آمریکای جنوبی و اروپا برگزار میشود. در این مسابقات، شرکتکنندگان با بهکارگیری دانش تخصصی و ارائه راهبردهای نوآورانه، به توسعه یک میدان نفتی شبیهسازیشده میپردازند و تیمی برنده شناخته میشود که بالاترین راندمان را از مخزن طراحیشده کسب کند.
کسب این مقام ارزشمند بینالمللی، نشاندهنده استعداد درخشان دانشجویان و اثربخشی تلاشهای اساتید محترم دانشکده است. دانشکده مهندسی شیمی، نفت و گاز، این موفقیت را به تمامی اعضای تیم بارتونین، سرپرستان محترم و جامعه دانشگاهی دانشگاه شیراز تبریک گفته و برای این تیم پرانگیزه، درخشش هرچه بیشتر در مرحله نهایی مسابقات را آرزومند است.
