In a recent announcement from the ISC ranking group, the Chemical Engineering field at Shiraz University has achieved a global rank of 301-350 in the field of Engineering for the year 2024. In the 2024 ISC Global Ranking, a total of 2,661 universities from 114 countries and 6 continents were present, with the share of the Islamic Republic of Iran being 72 universities. The ISC ranking system, for the first time in 2020 (1399 in the Iranian calendar), conducted a global ranking of universities based on subject areas, and the first edition of this ranking, titled ISC World University Rankings by Subject, was published for world universities in 2019. In the ISC Subject Rankings, the target universities for ranking are those that, in terms of the number of publications in that field, are among the top 700 universities in the world and have published at least 150 documents in that specific subject area over a three-year period, indexed in the In Cites database.

 در خبری که به‌تازگی از گروه رتبه‌بندی ISC منتشر شده است، رشته مهندسی شیمی دانشگاه شیرازموفق به کسب رتبه 301-350 جهانی در حوزه‌ی مهندسی در سال 2024 شده است. در رتبه ­بندی جهانی 2024 ISC تعداد 2661 دانشگاه از 114 کشور و 6 قاره جهان حضور داشتند که سهم جمهوری اسلامی ایران 72 دانشگاه می باشد.

نظام رتبه‌بندی ISC در سال ۱۳۹۹، برای اولین‌بار رتبه‌بندی دانشگاه‌های جهان را براساس حوزه‌های موضوعی به انجام رساند و اولین نسخه‌ی این رتبه‌بندی، با نام ISC World University Rankings by Subject برای دانشگاه‌های جهان در سال 2019 منتشر شد. در رتبه‌بندی موضوعی ISC، دانشگاه‌های هدف به‌منظور رتبه‌بندی، دانشگاه‌هایی هستند که به‌لحاظ تعداد انتشارات در آن حوزه، جزء 700 دانشگاه اول جهان باشند و در بازه‌ی زمانی سه‌ساله، حداقل 150 مدرک در هر آن حوزه‌ی موضوعی منتشر کرده و در پایگاه InCites ثبت شده باشند.
