Faculty Central Laboratory
Faculty Central Laboratory
The Central Laboratory of the Faculty of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering provides specialized services and consulting in the fields of "Oil," "Water and Environmental Microbiology," "Catalysts and Reactor Design," and "Analysis" to scientific and industrial centers. The specialized laboratory for "Water and Environmental Microbiology," established and launched in 2005 at the Faculty of Engineering, is equipped with comprehensive facilities in the areas of water, wastewater, water microbiology, aqueous solution chemistry, and environmental studies. The specialized "Analysis" laboratory has over 20 years of experience in examining chemical and thermodynamic processes, measuring related parameters, determining the composition and percentage of components in a sample, conducting corrosion tests on metals, and more. The specialized "Catalysts and Reactor Design" laboratory is equipped with complete facilities for the design, construction, and testing of catalysts, and pilot testing units for catalysts are available in this laboratoty. The specialized "Petroleum" laboratory is equipped with a complete set of research equipment, of the highest quality, relying on modern technology, in both upstream and downstream industries. There are also a complete set of devices for measuring the general properties of reservoir rocks, devices for measuring the special properties of reservoir rocks, devices for measuring the properties of reservoir fluids, devices related to enhanced oil recovery processes, devices related to improved recovery processes, and devices related to the quality control of petroleum products. The equipment at this center was purchased in 2010 from the French company Vinci with the support of the Minister of Oil
