The IOR-EOR Research Center stablished in 2001 is a multidisciplinary research centre at Shiraz University with a focus on cutting edge studies on "Enhanced Oil Recovery" techniques, from pore scale to field scale. The IOR-EOR research center consists of five main research groups, including "Enhanced recovery from oil reservoirs", "Enhanced recovery from gas condensate reservoirs", "Optimization of gas production", "Simulation and modeling of oil reservoirs" and "Digital Petrophysics". Various fundamental and theoretical-based research projects with especial attention to requirements of the oil industry based on four main topics are conducted as follows:

• Water and Gas EOR Techniques, Mechanisms and Challenges

• Asphaltene Precipitation & Deposition

• Environmental EOR Challenges

• Geomechanics and Geochemical in EOR

Cooperation of 20 faculty members, postdoctoral students and top talented undergraduate and post graduate students has made this center as one of the most active and well known research centers of Shiraz University. This center has collaboration with other departments as well as other national and international universities and research centers worldwide.
