In order to plan your budget and fair decision-making, it is better to know your approximate everyday expenses and accommodation in Iran.

Food: Generally, the cost of everyday groceries is fairly cheap, and expats who opt to cook at home will therefore save a fair amount of money. Money that you need for food for one person a week is between $50 to $100. If you want to save money, you can buy food and groceries from chain stores at lower prices.

 

Lifestyle expenses: You may consider $10 to $20 for entertainment such as cinema, dining out etc. for a month. However, expenses depend on your own lifestyle. The cost of travelling in Iran is generally inexpensive as public is affordable. You can use public transportation like city buses and metro. Each travel by metro costs 10 cents, which is really economic.

 

Academic Expenses: The tuition fee for each semester is $700 to $1000. Tuition fees do not include accommodation, food and insurance.

 

Accommodation: The cost of accommodation is low when compared to countries such as US, but is considered average in comparison to other countries in the Middle East. If you want to rent an apartment in the vicinity of the department, it approximately costs $100 per month and $3000 to $4000 for security deposit.
